The first album on edelfaul recordings is an encounter between the label’s co-founder Ilia Gorovitz on drums and electronics and Shoham Manela on tenor saxophone and flute.

Both active musicians in the alternative music scene in Jerusalem, Israel in the last 5 years. the two of them performed and collaborated with many of the scene's musicians but never with one another. Only after Ilia's relocation to Berlin and shoam's visit there, they finally got together to play and record.

More than a spontaneous improvisation between the two musicians, the setup allows Manela’s reeds and flute sounds to feed directly into Gorovitz’s bus of synths and effect pedals - the machinery at the heart of his own solo performances. Mangled up and transformed, the signals echo back at the players who may interlock with the unstable patterns or spiral forward into sonic depths unknown. The vast musical worlds of Ilia and Shoam create a unique blend of free jazz, noise, tribal and rock.

Three sessions were recorded over the summer of 2019 at Trickster Berlin and then carefully edited and mixed by Ilia Gorovitz. No overdubs were added, all sounds have been created, morphed and recorded on the spot.
